Quick Service Technician

Job description:

Reports To: Service Manager & Service Advisors

Position Information:

Taylor & Sons Chevrolet serving the Greater Sandpoint area is looking for an entry level automotive technician in our service department.

Qualifications:

College automotive degree or 2+ years of automotive technician experience preferred but not necessary. Previous employment in Automotive Quick Service and Tire Installation required. Must have good automotive knowledge and be able to perform thorough vehicle inspections with honesty and integrity. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while taking the utmost care of the vehicles you are working on.

Duties, Requirements, & Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following

1. Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM overtime and extra days as needed
2. Ability to perform lube oil filter changes and quality multi-point inspection every 30 minutes.
3. Bring a positive attitude to work every day and be willing to do whatever it takes to help our customers have an excellent experience at our dealership.
4. Basic computer skills. Typing skills a plus.
5. Complete GM factory training as assigned, both online and hands on.
6. Ability to take direction and willingness to perform tasks assigned by service manager and service advisors immediately upon request.
7. Must possess personal tools needed to perform this job and purchase others as needs arise to stay current and be able to properly service our customers' vehicles.
8. Possess a desire to learn and improve your skills, as we prefer to promote from within
9. Must be able to pass a drug screening.
10. Be able to exercise humility and an ability to ask other technicians for assistance, not to do the job for you. Taylor & Sons has a very experienced set of technicians and their ability needs to be respected.
11. Ability to perform strenuous activities such as lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, kneeling, and standing on your feet for up to 10 hours at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Automotive Technician

Job description:

Taylor & Sons Chevrolet located in Sandpoint, Idaho is growing our service department. Due to the addition of nearly 6000 square feet of new service and repair facility, Taylor and Sons is looking to hire 2 additional technicians.

Taylor and Sons facility is state of the art with the main building constructed in 2011 and the service addition completed in August of 2019. Qualification and Skills:

• 3 Years of experience as Automotive Tech required
• Experience in GM dealership preferred
• Satisfactory References from previous employers
