We had a wonderful experience with Taylor & Sons Chevrolet when purchasing our 2025 Silverado 3500. Our first impression was meeting one of the owners, Brett Taylor, when we had arrived 30 minutes before the dealership would open so we could look around without being noticed. We were impressed that an owner was one of the first people to show up for work. He made sure we didn't have any questions and knew his sales team would be helping us soon. Our sales consultant was Martina Brass who answered every question we had or promptly found the answer and got back to us. Then she came in on her day off to help us complete the deal. Eric Whitman, sales manager, was also instrumental in making our deal work. When we took delivery of the new truck the guys in the shop were very helpful with some minor details. They seemed as excited as us about our new truck. All in all, that is a great team at Taylor & Sons Chevrolet in Ponderay, Idaho.

I brought my tahoe in for two recalls. The big one and most important one was the 6.2 engine recall. The dealer handled it all smoothly and within the time they told me.

I appreciate you guys getting me in timely and getting my issue resolved same day. However, the service department should work on customer service. They just kind of made me feel backed in a corner. “Here’s the problem, here’s the price, I can do it right now.” That’s it. It was not a cheap fix by any means. I get that there was a problem and it costs money to fix. But $300 just for the labor on a $50 part? Ouchie. A little compassion goes a long way.

10:00 appointment to replace infotainment display. Took over 3 hours, which I thought was long, but waiting area was neat and comfortable, with snacks and wi-fi.

The service advisor did a good job working with us, however, we did find a major deficit in the quality control of the service where we had a battery terminal not tightened properly, which caused problems with the vehicle after service and we were not happy with the subsequent handling of the issue afterwards.

3pm appointment for oil change. Arrived 15 min early. Got the truck back at 5pm. They failed to tell me it was done. I was in the waiting room. Had sent me a text at 4pm. I am not tied to my phone. Walked past me many times without telling me it was ready.

We've been happy before. Giving 5 stars, but this time not so much. We were told they needed our truck for about an hour, unless they had to do another adjustment, then it would be about 2 hours. It ended up taking over 3-1/2 hours. Not the best experience this tim, but stuff happens! We like Taylor's Chevrolet so we will go back again. We'll see how it goes!

Went in for an oil change, walked out with being charged two labor charges for $50 dollars. I was charged $50 dollars for oil change labor and $50 dollars for an air filter replacement!!

I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I GOT THE BILL BECAUSE I WAS TOLD REPLACING THE COOLANT HOSE WOULD TAKE AN HOUR, WHICH IT DID. BUT THE BILL WAS FOR 2 1/2 HOURS. THE EXPLANATION WAS THAT THE PROCEDURE THAT CHEVY USES SAYS IT WILL TAKE MORE THAN AN HOUR AND THAT IS HOW THE MECHANIC IS PAID. THE BILLING PROCESS FOR THE CUSTOMER IS LESS THAN UPFRONT. WHEN A CUSTOMER COMES IN AND IS TOLD IT WILL TAKE 1 HOUR OR 2 HOURS OR WHATEVER, THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TOLD UP FRONT WHAT THE HOURLY RATE WILL BE SO WHEN THE WORK IS DONE IT WILL BE BILLED AS 3 OR 4 HOURS. MAKES ME WANT TO CHECK OTHER REPAIR LOCATIONS AND COMPARE COSTS. THE SERVICE STAFF IS GREAT SO I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH THEM, JUST THE BILLING PROCESS.
